30 Mar Meet Wearwell: The New Sustainable Style Box Shopping Service
When we first got word of Wearwell, we were smitten from the start. Yes, style boxes abound, but none has surfaced with a solution for shoppers seeking sustainable style or fashion that gives back to worthwhile causes.
But Wearwell’s Erin Houston and Emily Kenney are aiming to change all that with their new box service. When it debuts later this year, the service will allow its earliest shoppers to fill out a style profile, specify humanitarian and environmental causes they want to support and receive a curated selection of items picked to meet their preferences.
Like StitchFix and many others, Wearwell will let you pay for what you want to keep and send the rest back.
Check out this video for more about the why behind this new ethical fashion startup as well as a peek into the perks you’ll find when you support the crowdfunding campaign they launched today.
But the coolest part has to be the backstory you’ll receive on the garments in your future box. Part of their mission to make it easy for women to shop their values and find ethical brands without the hours of research it takes many of us to hunt down new finds on our own, Wearwell includes cards outlining the origin stories of the items you’re about to fall in love with.
You can hear more from Wearwell on EP 96 of the Spirit of 608 podcast. Listen to co-founder Erin close out the show with the Wearwell story, how she keeps going through the challenging moments every entrepreneur faces and the fashion resource she thinks every FEST founder needs to know about right now. It’s all part of our PressDope by Spirit of 608 founding member interview series.
