08 Dec 31: Early Feedback & Hustling Your Core Introvert with Silver Lining Bespoke’s Rel Lavizzo-Mourey & Cassandra Kaldor
Childhood friends who’ve joined forces on a line of outerwear and accessories with custom-printed linings, Rel Lavizzo-Mourey and Cassandra Kaldor of Silver Lining Bespoke are like so many FEST-ive entrepreneurs today: they’re fusing fashion, technology and a social mission into a product that’s more-than-meets-the-eye. Working in collaboration with featured artists or using customers’ own imagery to generate their custom designs, Silver Lining Bespoke relies on digital printing techniques to turn the inside of men’s and women’s coats into conversation pieces. But while Rel, who’s the founder and CEO, and Cassandra, the company’s art director, work closely together, they’re not in the same office – or even the same town.
In today’s show, we talk about Rel’s path toward founding her own business after working to grow Minx Nails and, before that, relaunch Honey magazine. Cassandra explains how she came to join her childhood friend in the idea and how the two work together despite living in different parts of California. Plus, we get their take on pulling off a successful Kickstarter campaign.
But wait, there’s more below!
This stuff is key to the show’s success, and I appreciate you helping me play the game. <3 <3 <3
